I just finished my 1hr Connect presentation on LiveCycle Designer. Thanks to everyone who tuned in! Missed it you say? Fear not, I recorded it and you can watch it here http://pacific.adobe.acrobat.com/p33536000/
In the coming weeks i’ll be presenting on how to use Designer forms with ColdFusion 8 and LiveCycle Data Services 2.5 (was Flex Data Services) and more. For session dates and more details look here;
Thanks, it was a nice presentation.
Can you confirm the previous session (Flex 3) was not recorded?
I had watched the ‘Introduction to LiveCycle Designer’ presentation a few weeks back and it was the best overview I have encountered yet – very informative. I have been playing about with the trial version of Acrobat and wanted to explore some of the features you demonstrated however, the Acrobat Connect link is no longer working. Has the presentation be moved somewhere else? If so, I would be very grateful if you could update the link (only 14 days of my trial left!!!).

I found out yesterday that the both the Flex3 and my LiveCycle Designer recording were accidentally deleted! Not sure how it happened, but someone pressed a button somewhere when they shouldn’t have
Anyway, I need to get around to rerecording that session. I’ll try to get it done ASAP. Once online I’ll update the post.
These things happen eh?
One more question: Are there any plans to add LiveCycle Designer to the Mac version of Acrobat Pro 8? I appreciate the standard argument against supporting OSX however, I am completely mystified as to why LiveCycle Designer was not included given that ‘creating interactive forms’ is hardly a niche requirement exclusive to the corporate world. Whatsmore, there seems to have been no attempt on Adobe’s part to explain the rationale.
While I’m at it… is there any hope of the rest of LiveCycle ES supporting OSX Server 10.5 (Leopard) when it is released? UNIX certification surely helps the case? This would certainly make my planning/budgeting of resources much easier however, I would settle for a Mac version of Designer for now.
Many thanks… Andy
Unfortunately there are no short term plans to port LiveCycle Designer to Mac OS X. It hasn’t been completely ruled out tho so i’d suggest all you Mac users out there should let Adobe know if this is something important to you or not here:
